The county of Moianòs is situated inland in the central part of Catalunya. It is well communicated to cities like Barcelona, Lleida and Girona. In the area there are many archaeological remains showing evidence of the existence of mankind from thousand of years ago.
Caverns with Palaeolithic and Neolithic remains, dolmens, Iberic settlements, castles, Romanesque chapels and pre industrial buildings like mills, icewells, and ovens are a testimony to its rich past.
